Basketmouth who has a Youtube
channel stated that the figures from traffic could be higher on his platform
hence helping him generate more revenue if internet was more affordable in the
country. He said: “Here, we have the numbers, I’m talking of about 200 million
people that want to watch these things [online] but their problem is data. It’s
expensive. So if data becomes cheap then more viewers you get, more money you
make. “My Youtube channel is monetized but the amount I make is nothing to be
proud of. The insights on who’s watching shows like 60% from the UK and people
from the US, then the rests are from South Africa, Europe and some other
countries, Nigeria is actually a little fraction. And that’s where the audience
is, unfortunately they can’t afford to watch. They want to but they can’t,
which is the reason why they go back to buying pirated CDs.” Basketmouth is a
seasoned Nigerian comedian and brand ambassador whose influence has seen him
enjoy considerable successes over the years in Nigerian entertainment. Catch

The pair tied the knot on Saturday, November 6, 2010 and the union is blessed
